About the species

Description
The Jaguar Carpet Python is an attractive colour and pattern mutation of the Eastern or Coastal Carpet Python. It is a co-dominant mutation although the super form (leucistic) has proven non-viable so far. Hatchlings are very different from normal mcdowelli, being almost patternless along the back. The background colour is light pinkish tan with light brown blotches bordered with a black edging along the sides of the entire body. As they mature the background colour brightens with little or no black tipping. We are breeding Jaguars to unrelated, normal mcdowelli to produce fresh bloodlines as well as to other morphs to create new and exciting projects such as double co-dominant Caramel Jaguars and Zebra Jaguars.
