Description
Found in and around the Macdonnell ranges of the Northern Territory, in the centre of Australia. Centralian Pythons are placid and reluctant to bite. They quickly grow to seven feet or more and are generally more heavy bodied than other Morelia. They have a reddish background with yellow to cream bands that are edged with black, more so towards the rear of the body. |

Care
Young are best kept individually on a dry substrate with a small water dish and a hide. They readily use a perch if made available and will feed on rodents of the appropriate size.
